Core Banking & Payments

The challenge

The bank decided to take on a comprehensive transformation: renewing an architecture that had served it for more than two decades and pairing that change with the adoption of agile methodologies across the organization.

That's why it needed expert, independent guidance to decide with technical and business rigor, aligning the evaluation with an industry standard (BIAN) and ensuring the solution covered all of its operational verticals.

The solution

We put together a team of experts in software architecture, accounting, collections, payments, deposits, and foreign trade (COMEX) to support the end-to-end process.

We mapped the business processes needed to draft the RFP, built the target architecture map under the BIAN standard, and carried out the RFP and RFQ process, evaluating vendors and solutions.

Results

The support helped the bank narrow down to a prioritized shortlist of solutions and move toward the core selection with contained risk and a decision backed by technical and business criteria.

What stayed with the client

The target architecture map under BIAN, the business-process inventory, a reusable evaluation framework (weighted matrix and selection criteria), and a comparative baseline across the vendors evaluated, leaving the internal team with clear, traceable criteria to govern the future core implementation.
